The Ohio Society of Washington DC

The Ohio Society is a non-profit organization that aims to connect Ohioans and those closely associated with Ohio, either personally or professionally, who are currently living in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Our state's society is a member of the National Conference of State Societies and serves as a networking, service and social organization for individuals of all ages. We host a number of large and catered events throughout the year including the annual Ohio Birthday Party, a summer social at Capitol Brewing Company, a Back to Your Roots Summer Picnic featuring Ohio foods and traditions, and a Congressional Christmas Party.

In addition to these annual events, our state society plans a number of regular, low-budget events such as happy hours at places like Cap Lounge, greeting WWII veterans who come in from Ohio through HonorFlights at their memorial, and organization for sporting events like Red's games in DC.

This fall the Ohio Society is also planning to host a week-night reception style cruise on the Potomac with a Great Lakes theme.   Details on this event will be available soon.
